Facts

  • Male maintains leaf mound in which eggs hatch. Hatchlings loose mass just after hatching. It takes them 40 h to reach the mound surface, 40 till 150 cm above, and rest for 21 h. No parental care after hatching, so they are superprecocial (Ref: Goth2001)
