Discussion

  • I assume they grow from Lb to 0.25mm arm length in 150 days
  • This file assumes birth at bippinaria larva hatching (4.5 d). P. ochraceus larval stages eat, but caution because their ecology is still very uncertain. This is also true for the initial period after setlement.

Facts

  • the larva shrinks when it settles, from 2.2 mm length to 0.5 mm length (Ref: Stra1978)
  • Pisaster are dioecious but there is no sexual dimorphism (Ref: Wiki)
